Anyone try the Henry Weinhard beers? I had the redwood flats amber and enjoyed it in a cold pint glass - I had the first one out of the bottle and I thought it was ok . The rest I had in the frosted mug and thought it was much better . One of those beers that is definitely better in a mug ( although I suppose most beers are )

Nice. Got the recommendation from some random guy in the liquor store who seemed to know a ton about IPAs. Everything I mentioned he was like "yeah had that" or "you can't get that around here, you have to go to XYZ store in PA to get that".
I was looking for Bells Hopslam and Surly Abrasive (both I couldn't find).

really good stuff. right up there with the top IPA's I've had. complex flavor. nice hop-fruity taste. very nice hop bite (but without being overly so)
only problem....f##king expensive!!! think I paid $15 for a 6-pack. that is way too much. so it wont be making my usual rotation for that reason alone. 🙁
Big fan of the java head, goes real nice with a burger.
