Banana Bread

Has anyone had the banana bread beer? I picked up a bottle tonight at shop rite out of curiosity. I love banana bread and I love beer. Why not put them together? The guy at the register said its great.

Its good, as long as its fresh(not skunked). I havent had it in quite a while, but I enjoyed it.

Here is the plan for tonight... I have a big bottle of the Banana Bread, I will drink some of that straight up to test it out,then I will mix it with a Youngs Chocolate Stout. I figure it should be like a chocolate covered banana...mmm

Is it too early to start drinking now?

Which Shoprite did you find the Banana Bread beer at? I know they have a ton of it in eastern pa, but didn't realize it has made it's way to our side of the river now....

Shoprite in Newton. Also the liquor store in Lake Mohawk had it too.


So, after my experiment with the chocolate stout and the banana bread beer... I feel like I wasted the Youngs chocolate stout. It was not as tasty as I imagined it would be. The Banana Bread beer by itself is good, but nothing to go crazy about. It has a nice banana aroma, but thin like a Budweiser.
