What have you done to your bike today?

Got this from @Paul H last week to install as his donut compressor wasn't doing the job. Tried with my 20G with no luck either. Also used the strap method to push the beads down and the inner tube trick to pop the beads then take out tube then pop the other side. It took almost 40 psi to seat beads. Any other options I've missed? I'm guessing it was run tubeless at some point with this combo?

Yeah... that tire was on that wheel before
Sorry this is giving you grief... if it doesn't work... it doesn't work 😕

Don't forget to service those pedals from time to time. They lead a hard life...

I normally have to hit at least 50psi to get beads on new tires to seat. If you can get most of the bead seated except for one spot you can try using a door jamb to get the trouble area seated. Put the wheel/tire with the unseated area in an open door jamb, close the door just enough so that it pinches the tire just a bit to hold it in place, and slowly pull the tire/wheel away from the closing door to get the bead to seat against the rim. I read about this on Pinkbike a few months ago and used it when trying to seat new tires on my gravel bike. Just make sure you use a solid door otherwise you risk prying the hinge right out of the door frame. Ask me how I know...
Not seating at all when the tube is removed. Bead seems to be stuck in the channel. Tried to no avail to pull it out with the compressor on.

I had trouble seating a tire before and used the tube method but it is more time consuming. So I went to You tube and tried this method with your tire lever seat half of the tire on one side and then seat the tire on the other side 180 degrees.I used the compresor and it work out perfect.

Did you use the compressor between each side? I'm not envisioning this, can you share the vid?

The Switchblade got new brakes today, trying the MTX Gold pads this time. Been running the Red Race compound for the past two years, hoping that these HD Gold pads will have more bite. Did a full bleed and exercised / lubed the pistons. Have a seriously firm lever again, did a quick ride around the block but they need more time to bed before I can get a feel for their performance. Hope things are drier tomorrow, definitely need to get a good ride in.
