What have you done to your bike today?

Put aonther new chain on my road bike yesterday. Went out today and it was skipping a bit. Then it hit me... this is the 4th chain counting the one it came with and the cassette has over 11k on it.

Its time for a new cassette

After my chain broke yesterday 8.5 miles from my truck, I didn't have a new chain last night, so I put in a new link and tried it out this morning, bam, 6 miles later it broke again. Ordered a new one yesterday, will arrive in a few days. Then I went back over my ride looking for my new light that giggled off, no luck. A friend put my bike on his bike rack when I broke the chain, only had to take me a mile, but my bike fell off his rack after only 50 feet and we didn't miss it, had to go back and pick it up in the road. slight damage. 😡

Finally got the 1up rack on the MINI...

The wedge retention system that secures the rack into the receiver seems pretty solid. I was wondering how the lock would work since access to the receiver behind the bumper cover is basically impossible, but it looks reasonable enough..

Honestly, one of the big questions is if I can leave the rack on the car and still fit both the MINI and the minivan in the driveway... Edit update: Yes, I can... although I literally have the rack about 1/2" from the garage door with the car backed into the driveway and the minivan bumper just barely not in the sidewalk path.

On a more positive note, now that I see how this rack fits on to the car, I'm pretty sure if I can figure out some sort of receiver hitches that can work on my three Triumphs, the rack will work without being in the line of fire from the exhaust pipes. This was one of the main reasons I bought a rack - so that once I get my classic cars running again, I can use them for short (or maybe even longer) bike trips as one of the big issues I have right now is I don't drive the cars often enough.
