😕 just trying to see if anyone is out and about these days, i'm a noob and don't know any trails at all, don't know where to go, what times. I'm down for whatever type of trail. Any one mind showing me the ropes?😀

Keep an eye on the rides board. There are always people out riding, never been to Lewis Morris but it look fairly close to you. You could also post on the rides board that you are looking for a guide and when you are looking to go. The other way is to go to a Trail Maintenance at a trail you want to check out. There are often group rides before or after with a reasonable pace.

Go to Ringwood, Wawayanda, Jungle Hab maybe even Skyline early in the day, late next week when the trails will (hopefully) be dry...either solo or with a friend. Get lost then find your way around.

PM me if you need a guide.

I ride for Team Town Cycle and will lead a beginner ride at Wawayanda this Saturday 4/3/10. We will meet at 11:15 at the boat house and ride the 2009 race course. This will give new riders an idea of what the Spring Cleaning race was like last year and hopefully attract some new racers for next months race. We will go a comfortable pace so nobody feels left out.

Ringwood, Lewis Morris, and Tourne are also some other great places to ride. Lewis Morris is the easiest since it has the least amount of rocks...but it also one of the most fun trails to ride because of the pace you can go. All the trails are great for their own reasons. You can't go wrong. We live in a great area.

FWIW- You might want to put this off until the following weekend. I was in there Wednesday to anchor the bridges down and it was a slog fest. Ive never seen Waway that wet. We did a TM for the race course last Sat and part of Cherry Ridge that will be on the beginner loop was washed out and rutted.

Thanks for the update. I still plan on going. Did ringwood a few weeks ago and it was the same....parts were ok...other parts a mess.

I think the update was more of a friendly way to say that riding Wawayanda this weekend will cause additional trail damage so it's not such a good idea.
