Winter Gloves

I had a version of the PI lobster ones and they are legit. While PI doesn't make very good jerseys and shorts, they excel at gloves and booties. At a point in time they were my 20 and under glove.

The answer sleestak are the best winter cycling gloves ever made but are long discontinued. There is no explanation why they are so much warmer than other gloves and are not bulky, but they have primaloft insulation so that might be the key.

I have had a few pairs of gore gloves, as good as their winter jackets are, somehow the gloves never lived up to expectations especially with the higher price tag.

You could consider a shell over an existing glove, I have an assos pair that I use on the road under 25.

One tip is to look at the dew point. The last few mornings the temp wasn't very cold but the dew point was 10 degrees less and is what makes things feel raw at low temps. So if the temp was 32 and dew point is 22, I go with the glove I would wear for 22.

I have every PI Glove level and they're all absolutely awesome. If you need anything more than the Lobster you should just stay indoors because you don't belong outside.

I’ve had good luck with Gore gloves, but hearing this makes me think I’m leaving something on the table. Regardless, by the time I need new winter gloves there won’t be any Gore left so it’ll probably be PI for my next pair.

FWIW im cheap AF so always looking for good gloves cheap these were $10 at ace and work great thinsulate very warm while not cycling specific they work and after they fall apart your only out $10
Ive also found cheap gloves that are so warm your hands sweat the inside of the gloves get damp and take a week to dry out but these are not like that very good balance

HERE are excellent gloves at a great price. Best feature is the little pocket to put in a heat warmer. For anyone who has cold hands/poor circulation, the ability to stick a little heat pack in the gloves make all the difference.

They are not too bulky, especially without the liner.

Nose wipe is a key feature for me. Not joking.

I concur about the sleestak. They don't seem like they should work nearly as well as they do. I wish I bought 5 pairs last time around because mine might have one season left if I am lucky.

I keep hoping one last forgotten batch shows up online for sale, but seems unlikely.

It would appear that only smalls are left online and on ebay.

I just rode a couple times now with the PI Evo two finger lobster.... Certainly warm to 30 degrees... but I think they'll go colder for sure... and they do seem to windblock very well and let the moisture out. After both rides, as temp climbed to 35'ish, they were pretty dry (not normal for me) even though I had heated up quite a bit in my jacket. I like that Primaloft. They don't have the all black version on the website any more... I got while the getting was good I guess during Black Friday

I just ordered black from a online bike shop retailer, not Amazon. Paid 40% less than P.I. price. Will be here Wed.
