I was never a big Firestone fan, but when I was looking for new summer tires for the boy's GTI the Firehawk Indy 500s got pretty good reviews. They are great tires, quiet, good ride and reasonably priced. Also the tread pattern looks pretty cool/aggressive which was a selling point for him. 😎

Sounds good @qclabrat

@Dingo holley carb jet fit like a glove... Rocker stud goes in that hole next to it and traps it

Then I put my oil primer in and spun it up to make sure it wouldn't move.... Now onto the other side

They must make an oversized pan ?? is that off the table at this point?
(probably not necessary after adding HV oil pump then putting in a restrictor?)

do you have an oil cooler separate from the one in the radiator?

dry sump it!

The main problem is the oil does not return to the pan fast enough. It stays "upstairs" in the heads and lifter valley. Adding a high volume/pressure pump just adds to the problem. Builders will coat the insides with glyptal paint smooth the casting surface, restrict flow to lifters or rockers all to aid keeping the oil in the pan to feed the crank bearings. Dry sumps are for another oiling problem...

Yup, what @Dingo said.... this is basically the easy step one step 2 will be pulling you oil pan off and changing the oil pump... I'd rather not do that if I don't have to but it's next up on the list... Hoping this works

Need a ton of zip ties, but bbf rockers all come off at once rather nicely... this is an aftermarket setup with Billet stands and hardened steels shafts.... Mounted on arp studs... But for whatever the reason they removed the holes on the end where you would put the cotter pin so you have to zip tie all this together to pull it off.... But it's pretty easy 20200821_222233.jpg
