$50k - This is what I wanted when I bought my '70!

For around $20K that is a real nice second car. What is the approximate cost of ownership per year if you put on about 10K miles?
I'm not getting into a bidding war with @Patrick , I am curious for potential future fun car. I still look at Boxsters as the primary target.
10k service at the dealer runs about 200 or 450ish ...'A' or 'B' service, 'A' oil change with a complete inspection and 'B' includes combination filter, brake fluid exchange and if applicable a tire rotation. Also depending on the vehicle, some have a combination and a dust/pollen filter. All new cars now can also get a pre-paid service which saves a lot of money, you can buy it at time of purchase up to about 60k miles.

they stuffed a little v8 in there instead of the v6. probably could add twin turbos and blow it up!
M113 engine comes AMG and non AMG, like on the SL500 and SL55, pretty much same engine block and heads but all internals are different plus they add an oil cooler, oil jets for the piston skirts, balanced crankshaft, larger oil pan.

After looking through all the photos, I'm not sure how high I would go on this.

that is the problem - there is always someone that will take it on as an investment, and have it torn down and try to make $$$ on it.

But with no original engine you would have to go resto-mod to make money. Seems hard to do if you buy it for $50K+ to start. Seems like this would be a perfect car to fix up a little and just drive it, but not for $60K.
