Seems like the SL55 smaller blower pulley, larger throttle body, and cooling mods make a huge gain without threatening the integrity of the engine.
can grab an extra 100hp or more without much work.

Probably need an additional oil cooler (ala P30?)
At that point the exhaust starts to choke it - bypass pipes?

It does not need an additional oil cooler, it has a pretty large oil cooler with a drain plug, from which you also have to drain for about 15min during an oil change, and yes it is very easy to add about 200hp without spending tons of money and keeping it reliable... You can try high flow cats or no cats, but I seen a lot of them running the stock exhaust with all kinds of tunes including nitrous oxide, I have not heard any complaints, but then again NOS is mostly used for a few seconds. A light tune with smaller pulley and a flashed ME(ECU)which will include better intake flow mods does not need to upgrade the exhaust... But due to the forced induction, tuning the exhaust can help you free up a 15% more of power of the tune you getting... Best sound of the car is the clutch on the Kompressor pulley every time you tap the gas pedal

How about you buy something first and drive it before yapping about modding a 400+ HP car? 😉
