Day 4 - Finally back on a mtn bike!
Last night my buddy Tom texted me asking about doing a ride at Birdsboro, which is a bit north of (and semi-connected to) French Creek. Absolutely, despite it needing to be an early start - meet at 8:15. I did well, getting there a bit after 8 AM - and there was actually a ton of parking (there is room for like 4 cars in the actually parking area, so most people just park on the shoulder, but it's a dead-end road, so not a big deal). So I was able to get kitted up and ready to ride before anyone else got there. Around 8:45 we were on the bikes.
Trail conditions were damp and the roots and rocks could be tricky, but otherwise it was a great ride. I got what felt like a bee sting, but in typical (for me) fashion, it hurt for a few minutes and then was just a mild annoyance.

7/4 - A near perfect Wildcat loop. We just skipped new white because we knew it would be too wet.

So day 3 was a bust. Got on road at 5:30 am and arrived in NH a little after lunch driving in rain the entire time. Pretty much rained the entire time after arriving until this morning. Got out today on a great rail trail ride.
While riding I came up with the idea to organize a trail maintenance and ride at Dickerson Mine around the middle of the month so people can get their Mulligans. Stay tuned for more info.
