You haven't been vaccinated yet? Come on, man, get with the program! And if you have, why would you worry about going anywhere? That's the whole point of getting vaccinated - now you are protected and can do what you want.

just got back from Pitt. Very mixed there. Huge signs at hotel that you do not need to mask up. Some restaurants are for vaccinated only. My wife wore masks a lot. I never did. Looked like about 10% of the population were walking around with masks. No masks at the fraternity party, but they all agreed anyone who didn't get a shot were idiots and would gladly tell them so.

Nope. Your kids are unvaccinated. They are hanging around with other unvaccinated kids. By far, most transmission is through those unvaccinated. They are far more likely to get infected than you.

In related news, if you want access to my company's buildings, you will need to prove vaccination. Google and Facebook too. I'm confused by the latter - don't they use their own platform? 🤣 Most major banks heading in the same direction. Apple is asking employees for vaccination status. Netflix requires anyone on a film set to be vaccinated.

C-19 is a moving target. Rules adjusted as situation changes, on a day to day basis. It's a virus. It doesn't care who or what it's screwing with. Just that you breathe air.

I don't know enough to weigh in on Pfizer's conclusions or whether or not altering the vaccine to better address the delta variant makes sense, but generally seems like the current vaccines are still very effective against all variants and potentially a third vacc dose could improve that even more.

Based on what? Wishful thinking?? These waves have become predictable - they peak around 6 weeks and then drop. FL is about 3 weeks ahead of NJ so when they are going down, NJ will still be going up. And don't think a little higher vaccination rate is going to make much difference - look at the UK:
