PS wave is on the downside in FL, cases/% positive are dropping, hospitalizations down 10% from the peak. Deaths likely to peak in a week or 2.

And NJ is a couple days behind, except our recent case rate never exceeded 1/4 of Florida's. Death rate even lower (FL 7 day avg is 7X NJ right now).

Not sure why you need to die on this hill every time. FL is in bad shape by every measure despite having decent vaccination rates.


It's been simultaneously sad and infuriating to watch so many states crawl up the leader board for cases and deaths. NJ still has the highest death rate but it's largely from the start of the storm when we knew sh*t about f&ck. NJ case rate is now 27th.

When did I say FL wasn't in bad shape in this last wave? Only surprised it didn't get worse up here - also skeptical about your claim that NJ is "a couple of days behind". We shall see.

In any event, UK data is disturbing, their vaccination rate is much higher than ours and their 4th wave dropped by 50%, and now is going back up again.

The problem is your people - age under 40, with less than 50% fully vaccinated. My people (60+) are well over 75% fully vaccinated. Sorry if the facts don't jive with your silly notions.

alright so they uses CDC, I wanted to see what the age break down is between states.

Don't forget there has been more opportunity for the older population to get vaccinated not a real apples to apples comparison.

Odd note. Down in western NC this week. It's crazy knowing when and where to wear a mask. Asheville has either city or county wide requirements, but it's iffy when you go in somewhere.
Down near Pisgah you have to read the fine print on the door before entering a place, and even then gauge what % is wearing them inside to see what's appropriate.

Variant is also and issue WITH people as you still get it but it can morph in vaccinated people, especially immunocompromised vaccinated people. It's likely this happened with Delta which is why it affects the vaccinated people the way it does.

And gets your priorities together man. The great mountain biking is over on this side of the state.
