The Guitar Player Thread.

Outside of the the 13 days of Death, I've been putting in time on 2 other songs.

Probably about an hour a day on this one, the Intro I already knew but have been cleaning up and getting the pickup switch right for the sweep section. The Interlude has been such a long time to get even as sloppy as it is now. Fucking HOURS. At this point I hear my wife humming it because it's been on repeat 🤣

These dudes make it look easy (rip Justin)

Haha this popped up after watching the Berzerker video. Look at young Charles Caswell! Forgot about this band…some sick riffs all throughout this jam.

So I realize that this isn’t exactly the right place for this, but I think it’s appropriate all things considered. I bought this because I thought I needed something smaller and quieter to practice with, but I ended up just using my amp turned down most of the time. It’s very portable (to travel or busk with) and actually sounds really good for what it is. Perfect for a bedroom, dorm, small apartment, etc. Will make a perfect Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza gift, PM if interested, I’ll even throw in the batteries it came with still brand new in their shrink wrap.

Killer thread. My first guitar was a Carvin solid body ~ 1978 that I later modded with a whammy bar and hotter pickups. Still laying around somewhere. A mesa boogie amp of the same time period (still in a closet as well). Have a Martin acoustic ~ 1980. Was in a garage band with my brother and friends in the early 80s, played guitar and keyboards. What I fool with now (and I play so rarely now it's pathetic) is an Ibanez solid body ~ 2011) and an Engl Screamer 50 amp. Also have a Yahama digital piano that I play occasionally. When I retire next year I plan to get back into this.
Are you back playing yet? Just keeping you honest...

Yep still have both. The Mesa boogie is over 40 years old!
That’s awesome! Any idea what models they are? I’m a big fan boy of both companies. When I had my Kiesel (formerly Carvin) built I had them use the Carvin logo vs Kiesel to pay homage to Becker. The dude in the custom shop said it might be the last guitar they built with the Carvin name, they discontinued it as an option right when I placed the order. And old school Mesa’s are just fucking great. The small combo amps from that era are so good for recording.

Will let you know when I'm back in FL
