XC Mountain Bike Schedule for 2023 (Schedule on 1st Post)

Maybe off topic for this thread but are there Enduro races close to NJ for those that are curious?
I didn’t include any enduro events but you can find the MASS events here

And you can also search bikereg

Thanks🙂

There are 2 other TBD MASS series enduros not currently shown on the schedule, but have been announced on the FB page. And a save the date for a pending approval XC race on 4/8/23. https://www.facebook.com/groups/MASSRACERS

As suggested the MASS series has several races relatively close by.

The close ones are listed in the post above: Steel City in Bethlehem PA, Glen Park in East Stroudsburg PA and Blue Mountain at the bike park in Kunkletown PA.

There's also one over at Trexler Nature Preserve in Schnecksville PA that is NOT part of Mass. It's an Enduro, but on flowy trails. They described it as an XC Enduro. It's called Trexxxfest.

My daughter and I tried Steel City and Trexxxfest last year. Both were a lot of fun. Trexxxfest was easier and more laid back, kind of had a festival feel with some food trucks and music.

Getting Pounded by Peter isn't appealing?

No, not particularly.

I think promoters really need to look at this from the participants point of view. You have such a wide range of people which you are trying to attract to your event, some people are no doubt turned off by the name of this event.

Just google “Peter Pounder”.

I’m sure this was not the inspiration for this event but sometimes you have to call an audible and rebrand, like I said…

Looking forward to this news. Hopefully it’s more than the BikeReg link being shared. :|

If you haven't already seen this on the MASS FB page. Suggest if you haven't experienced racing Escape Granogue (7/15/23) or Granogue Classic Rewind (9/2/23), better do it this year. In my opinion, the best overall venue of any MASS races that pretty much combines all possible mtb racing terrain all in the same course. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the last year racing bikes at this venue.

I just want to second the endorsement of this venue. I’ve often said literally the exact same thing as @JDurk when describing the course here: It tests every aspect of a mountain bike racer.

I have really good memories of racing cross here as well.

Sad to see it go, but all things must pass.

So I'll have to miss both first races for H2H or MASS.

Experienced racers, which would be your pick to race 5/6x this summer? I'm wildly more familiar with the H2H venues fwiw.
