Who here had had a full knee replacement.

Thanks everyone that posted/txt'd. Surgery took longer than expected - i'll find out why tomorrow.
Might have stripped the heads of the old hardware 😀

Doc ran out of PB blaster half way through the job, classic!

E-Z out did the trick...

Surgery took longer than expected - i'll find out why tomorrow.

There was some femoral bleeding that needed to be addressed - we didn't ask beyond that.
Alignment according to the robotic assistant was within .5deg, lock out at zero deg.
Prior hyperextention according to the robot was 20deg.

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow -

Pic!

Note the connection between the femur and tibia.
That is a hinge with a stop. the long projection into the bones distributes the forces over a larger area
(axial ? it isn't sheer, compression, or tension @shrpshtr325 )

I only know one person who did both at the same time. they stayed at the rehab place for 3 weeks.

How long until it felt like "your own knees" ?
Did the confidence come in small or large servings? (pardon the metaphor)

I was in rehab a week after my bilateral. I did it because steps were a problem that first week and wanted it to be a little easier on my wife.
