Allamuchy North Conditions

Sharing some downed tree locations for Allamuchy coming in from the sussex branch trail. There's a LOT down.

I'm accounting for a lot of them here but there is more.

orange loop in tranquility got a haircut for overgrowth tonight and trees cleared....most of them. I'll call it 6 1/2. One leaner left on the uppper (ran out of time). Beware of a ground nest of yellow jackets on the lower part about in the middle. Probably fine if your on a bike. They didn't care for the weed wacker tho. Thank goodness for thick pants and that I can still run with a full pack lol.

I have a quick update from some efforts put in yesterday by some folks @mattybfat and I are coordinating with. Please keep the reports coming.....they turn into work done. These posted reports, photos and TF pictured locations help a lot and there are a couple of us share intel and plan efforts based on feedback.

work done yesterday
- That last tree on orange was cleared
- Candy ass got a walk through to clear overgrowth really good Plus the new tree reported recently was removed
- ditch on the 517 side got some overgrowth cleared and any new trees (I think there was at least 1 reported)
- the flow trail down from cardiac to orange was walked to clean up loose debris and any trees.

Known spots still to be addressed:
- tree on cardiac bypass near rolly exit
- 2 on white on the waterloo road side
- 2 on the eberling trail
- 1 on dan's trail

The big rock roll off cardiac climb has tree pinned up it. Didn't get a pic but hopefully no one rolls it because it will be ugly. Pics of the removal should be in order cause this will be skillful cutting for sure.

Took care of a few here today. Two of note below-one towards the start of Lumpy, and another shown on the map (although another one was near there as well (too big for our hand chain).
Lumpy:

Rode the tranquility side of mooch north today. Riding well but there are a bunch of blowdowns. X marks as many of the chainsaw-necessary downed trees as I can remember.

Candy ass needs some love, and I intend to give it that love sometime in the next month. A rake to make less-than-obvious lines and turns and a handsaw is all that’s needed for that love, but it must be done. Candy ass is an all time favorite trail of mine and it must be loved by all.

Another tree down in addition to the others noted above. I expect to be back there tomorrow afternoon and will bring a handsaw to clear some of the smaller stuff, but there’s lots of chainsaw work needed.

We cleared one today on the orange loop off of CR517. Definitely ran into a few more on our ride that needed more then the small saw we were carrying.

Saw a bunch out there today. This park needs to be mapped out and I'd guess there's at least two dozen trees to be sawed out. The ones from the summer and fall are still here. I'm willing to help, but I also know this is a lot of work. Multiple days of work. @chainsawer @Hungusoutdoors
Trees everywhere, was surprised how many. Huge mess on yellow as well. Tim Pierce needs to get on this site for Intel.
