Tariffs...what to make of them.

Seems this is what you want to argue - that and make highly offensive comments. It leaves a lot open for progress between us.

Seems your issue is you don’t like Trump - it also seems anything he does is going to be a problem for you - can you confirm? If not, what has he done that you agree with?

Rick,

Yawl argue all you want. One thing, maybe off topic by now, maybe not. This is, and will never be, acceptable in our country, no matter who's in the WH. This is deplorable. This crossed the line. Moreso to be pardoned and investigators persecuted. Every American should be ashamed.

Time out for ruling:

When there are more than 2 options, a winner with less than 50% of the votes is deemed to have won by a plurality.
The judge feels that Chris is attempting to catch John on a technicality, but hasn't yet used the word plurality.
John did post a definition including the word plurality, but did not cite it.

.5 for each side.

Resume, civilly.
I'm not trying to catch anyone on a technicality. I just hate that people say this is what the majority of Americans want. It's not. More people voted against him than for him. The majority of Americans did not want this.

Yes, he got more votes than anyone else. He got the popular vote which I really didn't think was a possibility, he didn't even get the popular vote against Hillary.

And none of this takes into account the millions of people that didn't come out to vote like they did last time for Biden. I dunno, it's like they forgot just how f'ing terrible of a moron trump is. Maybe Biden didn't live up to their expectations, or they just weren't ready to vote for a black woman. Who knows, but they didn't show up.

So this is what we're stuck with. America done fucked around, and she about to find out.

A little sarcasm/humor mixed with some education. I knew you weren't, but I am surprised you didn't clarify the difference between what we'd call an absolute majority and a plurality (simple majority)
Poly sci class 1982.

Shitty choices lead to shitty results.
I gotta let it play out more than a couple weeks tho.

100% Agreed. In 50 years, it may turn out that Mike Pence was one of the greatest patriots in American history, how crazy is that? Maybe its already true.

Or, maybe they resented the idea that the DNC decided Kamala was going to be the nominee for them?
Perhaps. I hate the dnc as much as the next guy, but Biden took so long to step down I'm not sure there was another option so close to the election. And I believe the way the laws work, they would've had to forfeit all their donations had they picked someone who wasn't already on the ticket. And it's not like the billionaires are stepping in to donate to the Democrats when they get a far better return on their investment from the right.

Anyway, I thought Kamala was a much better option than Biden at that point. I didn't even like Biden being the nomination in 2020. Could they have done it differently? Maybe, doesn't matter anymore.

That’s one theory….

Edit… fuck it.

The democrats knew for 3 years biden wasn’t fit for office. How many times did we need to see the guy have an episode on live TV? He could not complete a single sentence without slurring or losing his thought. He should have been in a nursing home. Instead he was propped up like he was in weekend at Bernie’s.

It was embarrassing as a nation that he was our elected leader. Which makes you wonder who was really in control.

For whatever reason, the democrats wanted Kamala no matter what and were probably scared she wouldn’t get the votes to run as the democratic nominee. So they waited till the last minute when she was the only option.

The is just my theory and maybe I don’t know shit. But my vote counts just as much an anyone else’s. (Other than PA residents).

It doesn't matter. Trump is going to make America great again. So I fully expect my 401K to be better than where Biden left it at the end of Trump's term.

Lol Because those people don't exist. All of those votes were due to mail-in voter fraud.

That's why tRUMP won all those lawsuits in front of Republican judges! Oh, wait, he only won 1/58?

IT MUST BE A CONSPIRACY!

What are the proportions of college/non college in the graphed population?
I can't find that info for 2024. In 2020 it was 41% college educated, 59% non college educated, with a similar ratio to what was posted above for 2024. I'll search more for it if I find the time.

Needs to be normalized by population?
