Water Company Trails Conditions

Thank you @stb222 !!!

Things were getting sloppy yesterday for my liking which is why I didn’t hit red. I already told a few it’s this morning or skip riding for a while.

Cleared everything ln red/orange/blue except the big one on orange/blue by the utility cut. There were 3 new ones since my last report.

Why do half the trees have a vine tangle to clear too, ends up taking 4 times as long to clear.

Rebuilt this side of this weird log over on red,it was getting bit weird

I didnt go on yellow,,fingers crossed nothing new down over there.

It was obviously frozen at 20 degrees, however you could tell it wasnt that wet except for the typically bad spots

Got the three trees on greeway, however sections are partially a creek so i would stay away. I left a branch mess for someone to clean up right at the boardwalk at the top. Everything is cut, just needs to be moved.

There is a chest high 12” tree on the trail in from 518. I started to cut it but stopped.

Yellow is clear, some mud along the creek but relatively short. I would expect some poo on red, and some new downed trees, but i didnt ride it today

I was happy to see that somebody did clear all that crap I left at the top of Greenway. I didn’t ride Greenway today but the other day there were some really wet sections that is unlikely they dried up.

That tree on the trail from 518 was addressed today.

Took a little longer than I expected and managed not to get my saw pinched.

Then dealt with this mess, takes 30 seconds to cut the tree that brought this down and then 10 minutes to clean up all this junk.

I really didn’t think I had the battery life left to address the big one by the utility cut, but was able to get it.

I rode red for the first time in a couple weeks and am happy to report that the normal muddy spots this time of year aren’t really there. This is about the best I’ve seen water company this early in the year. By the fields on Blue there is 30 feet of Sloppy mud but otherwise it’s good to go. .

Looking down that trail I see a history of your work and others'. Well done.

It’s riding so great! Rode yesterday and Thursday. Thanks for clearing the trees!

The “rockhopper” trail from the 518 parking lot to the 4 way is clear as is yellow and afghan after 5 hours of clearing. There is one tight squeeze near the 4 way that will eventually get.

There are 3 reroutes on yellow due to big trees down, so pay attention. One had a tricky section that will likely get changed.

Blue from the 4 way and red are unknowns in terms of conditions. At a minimum the halloween hill side of red is over grown.

Per clean up messes:

Just rode red/blue from the 4 way CCW. Lots of stuff down. Cleared all I could with my pocket chainsaw. Biggest is a 2ft diameter tree right near the bridge that Gui replaced last year. Can post more pics later.

A few on Halloween hill I couldn’t get and two on blue.
Halloween hill needs a trim for sure.

How many do you estimate are down?

I couldn’t get these 8/9 today.
1 on the way out to red/blue from the 4 way (14”ish).
Then the big one at the new bridge.
4 on Halloween hill area between the skinny and the intersection that goes to the power lines (2 singles and the 1 double, all less than 14” I’d guess).
Then 2 for sure on the greenway and 1 you have to duck to get under. All before you get to the little farmers rock wall you go over.
The pics should all be in order by IMG number.
