Car-spotting thread

Interesting. When I got my blue vanity plates in 1987, you were only given 6 1/2 spaces. Couldn’t do 7 characters. NJ must have expanded them to 7 just before the blue plates were retired a few years later.

Yes it's been 7 since they went to the current reflectorized plates in the ABC1234 style, which, no shit, were switched to ABC123 and A12BCD because NJ cops were having difficulty memorizing a 7th character. Amazing.

Amazing. But then how did the Vikings dude get 7 on the blue plates (which weren’t reflectorized, and were retired back in 1991) ?

Simeone Museum. Was in the area and felt I had to stop by. Comically the one of these cars that looks like it was pulled out of a ditch is probably worth 10 million more than the replica that looks great. Well except for the godawful 3rd brake light.

So much history behind this car yet it sits there with a simple sign.

Funny how crappy the build looks like on the Mercedes.

I took this one for @serviceguy . It's probably the last one on the east coast that can drive.
