I’d even suggest it’s getting a little dry.

Will probably take care of those early in November.A few trees down on Red (Ringwood/Ramapo) trail. Two small/med size, located between Spruce Place and the High Mountain Brook. Another very large tree further up red and past the switchbacks. That one has been there for over a year and completely blocks the trail. The GPS for that tree is approximately 41.089073, -74.239930.
In doubt I would go with Trailforks, not sure when the park last updated their maps and some areas have seen significant reworks in the last few years.Good morning. I noticed Trailforks shows the wrong blaze color for some of the trails in Ringwood State Park. For example, the State Line Trail in Ringwood State Park has orange blazes but Trailforks shows it as having blue blazes. I don’t remember which other trails show the wrong trail blaze color on Trailforks for Ringwood State Park but I’ll check later.
That is just past the alligator going downhill toward state line, correct? It’s Cupsaw brook, thank you.Tree down on Cupsaw creek trail.View attachment 271215View attachment 271216
Technically, state line trail gets you to NY boarder. If you cross the street at the power line, there is a social trail that cuts to Long Meadow Rd. From there you will need to ride on Eagle Valley Rd to South Gate Rd to the Sterling trail head across from Buttonwood Rd. It is apron 1.5 miles on low traffic pavement.I looked at the trail brochure for Ringwood State Park and it says that the State Line Trail crosses the state border into New York and the Ringwood State Park staff told me the State Line Trail enters Sterling Forest in New York but is that correct?
To ride the state line trail to get to Sterling u need to ride some roads, maybe about 2 miles of flat roads (Eagle Valley road). At least that's the route I take.I looked at the trail brochure for Ringwood State Park and it says that the State Line Trail crosses the state border into New York and the Ringwood State Park staff told me the State Line Trail enters Sterling Forest in New York but is that correct?
