Ringwood State Park Conditions

Alligator and Cooper Union north were all clear of trees today. Dips and low end of Alligator were wet. So was entrance trail from the lake in the dips, but other trails were perfect. I cleared out drainages the best I could.

Did you notice if there was still a large tree over the original thread on the very trail in the picture going toward state line? it may not have been noticeable because a quite effective reroute had been created over time.

Yes, I did notice a go-around that was very well worn in. Probably could just stay that way.

Confirmed, it is still there. The reroute is pretty well worn in and pretty effective. I don’t think it would be a priority to clean up.

Yes, concur with above comments. Art saw that tree and may decide to leave it, or slightly tweak one end of go around for flow.

I've got a little trigger happy with the chainsaw lately 😁 but I'm 100% sure you'll make the best call. I've a feeling there's not going to be any shortage of deadfall to deal with in the months to come...

Sunday I spotted a medium size tree down at the top of Blueberry Way (red X on map). It's pretty spongy and rotted. Will be an easy cut.

two trees down on some of the park's favorite trails.
