Ringwood State Park Conditions

Tree down on poison ivy…

Otherwise conditions were very good while it is frozen. Southern facing trails will get soft as it warms up.

I was there on Saturday last, as of Sunday conditions had changed greatly already.

Snow has now vanished from my front yard while it was still 100% covered in snow as of Sunday, so my guess it's a mud fest right now...

Yeah, my yard is clear on the east facing sides, slush/thaw on the west facing sides. The rain and warmth should have the trails clear pretty soon I’m thinking, maybe in time to harden back up on Sunday with the cold.

Trails are a mess right now, you should really try and stay away from the park.

Apparently NICA had an event at Ryerson in spite of the conditions, I don’t have any details but it doesn’t sound like the best idea ever…

Do you think the overnight freeze will help for tomorrow?

Maybe for an early ride before the temperature goes up. I’m no expert but there’s a lot of wet that needs to dry. Also, looks like it’s not going above freezing tomorrow so maybe.

Had an early walk with Bailey in the Ryerson area, frozen but pretty beat up, lots of ruts from MTBs as well as quads and dirt bikes. By the time I was coming back at 8:00 am it was already starting to soften and cars with bikes were showing up at the school…

2 trees down on school house trail. The new trail out of parking lot c has a big one down. There were others but I don’t know all the trail names. Wind storms really did a number on the dead trees.
