Coffee

Interesting, especially the part on the site that says, "The highest quality beans from roasters like Intelligentsia, Counter Culture, Onyx Coffee Lab, and more." - hard to argue that's a bad start.

@2Julianas - is this the stuff you talked to me about? Seems familiar.
@Norm this stuff is great, highly recommend. i take it on the road with me for lax tourney, etc. Megs enjoys while I'm away and she's not in the mood to make herself a cup.

They have counter culture coffee at my ShopRite. When I’m low and don’t feel like going to Black River, it’s good enough. And way better than that
Was there this past weekend to pick up a cup while at the driving range. Got an Americano but afterwards should have done the drip. Which roast do you recommend?

When I buy beans or get a coffee to go I always get whichever is lighter roast.
lighter roast = more flavor aromatics remaining, less bitterness, more caffeine. Never understood the allure of Starbucks, they roast the shit out of their beans in pressurized roasters, destroys the more vulnerable flavor molecules and gives it that eye-watering bitterness. but differrent strokes I guess.

What's your go to instant?
I've been enjoying Perc instant but I only have Two cups left.

The Perk website says they collaborate with Swift to make the instant, I'm wondering if it's all the same. Swift seems to have much better pricing especially in bulk:

I'm going to try this on my next long bike trip and see how it goes. Carrying the Aero press and coffee on last one was a bit of a pain.

Have you found anything else?

I'm not a Starbucks person. But I do love dark roast. Currently drinking some Cubano roast. There is a Mexican velvet medium dark that is excellent. To each there own
100% to each their own. I don't drink drip coffee, taste not to my liking. Not a comment on drip, just how it hits me.

My analogy is always the beer one: plenty of people love light beer, I can't stomach it; give me a high ABV super bitter IPA tho, heaven!

Kinda the same w/ coffee: Drip = light beer; Americano = IPA.

Just a personal preference. Honestly, it would be awesome if I preferred drip as it's less work hahaha!

Same in the beer preference. Sounds like you haven’t had good drip coffee.
