Where is this trail??? "Jesus drop"

I remember the World Cup drop, although it was a few years before - around 2001.

Do you remember anyone hitting this drop at Ringwood Drive and Westbrook Road?

I remember one of my friends Joe V hitting it. He wrecked on his first attempt but then went right back up and cleaned it the second time.
Nope, never saw that wall.

Heh, I pass that every time I'm driving to Ringwood or Jungle always wondered how feasible it would be. Pretty cool.
That is right on the busiest road in the area, just past the gas station and the Lakeside Diner on Ringwood Avenue driving toward Ringwood. Part of that wall recently collapsed due to the excessive number of paint layers as it is used by kids as well as others to paint messages, events, dates etc. sort of an open air notice board...would you be dropping from the top of the wall or from the rocks in front of it? Landing is basically on a busy road.

Bearing in mind this was over 20 years ago and it has probably changed a bit, but I remember the drop basically being this:

Yes... it was a busy road back then too... but there is a reasonable amount of run-out after landing. When doing drops like this, you usually aren't going very fast. I'm pretty sure there is a video of the drop from one of the times it's been hit.

Yes - Joe V was a beast!!!
Indeed. He was so into the freeride scene back then - spending the Summers at Whistler/BC and then working the Fall/Winter to finance the following Summer. I'm not sure how many times he did that. He was definitely one of the first "DH-oriented" riders I met who had pretty much zero interest in racing, which is pretty much what all of us did back then if you were into the DH side of riding.

Crazy Jay and I reconnected with him a few years ago and he talked about getting back into bikes, but then he drifted away again. From talking to Jay, it's a long story...
