Biscotti Madness

Oh and when I stopped by martys tonight, word on the street is that the pro guy will be racing this weekend.

Whatever, I'll race who shows up. King of Siam shows, throw 'em down I'll try to do my best.

Did 2 laps today with Kush and RNG1:

A light lap then a race pace. The race pace was not continuous as I held up at intersections. Managed a 29:12 with an average HR of 170. I'm finding HR response very interesting. Look forward to getting more into this after KVSP.

Not much else to report. SS for this one. I could have the gears but it's too late in the game. I'll worry about it next week.

Tomorrow something light. Maybe a Fresca?

Easy day today, short swamp loop:

This whole race thing on a long weekend blows. I just want to kick back today and have a few beers and a burger. What an awesome day outside for a change. But I'm trying to be good because I don't want to feel like ass tomorrow.

The big boys registered for tomorrow's race. So a podium spot is the goal for tomorrow. The ex-pro and the guy who beat me last race are both in. So this will be a hard race.

I had a beer, and a burger.😀

Of course, I have little possibility of a podium tomorrow anyway, so eating like a monk today wouldn't much matter.

norm, PM me with what time you're heading over tomorrow. i'm prolly gonna swing by LM with the wonder twins to watch for a bit. plus they always talk about "norm the bike man" since meeting you last year. i feel obligated to bring 'em to see you.

Norm the bike man will be there around 8. I will text you.

Also, just for the record, After June 30 I have 116 rides this year, a bit over 3500 miles on all bikes combined. 75 road rides (2900 miles), 29 mtb rides (500 miles), 6 cross rides (140 miles), and 4 trainer rides.

Little surprised at 29 off-road rides, which seems higher than I would would have thought. My totals:

LM -11
CR - 4
Allaire - 2
Stewart - 2
Wawayanda - 2
Round Valley - 2
Tymor - 1
Fair Hill - 1
Mahlon - 1
Split Rock/Tourne - 1
Allamuchy - 1
Sourlands - 1

I have to ride LM less. No wonder I can't take it anymore. The thing is, it's close and drains well. It's a great place for shakedown rides. This doesn't count July's LM ride, and then today again. That will be 13 in almost a half year. I need to travel more.

awesome job Norm! I think you passed me about a minute into the race (and i started 2-4 minutes in front of you...lol)

Did you put this onto Motionbased or G connect? Id be interested to check you Heart rate stats... My max was 196... would that be safe to say that is my LTHR? I really have to do a little research on the subject, but i cant see it getting much higher than that without passing out or going into cardiac arrest.. 😀

I uploaded but don't have the link easily accessible. I'll post it later but I'm sure you could find it easily enough. My max was 191 and average 176. No, 196 is not your LTHR. More details later.

i must say(admited),...that norm is the most phenomenal atlet around here, very fast significant improvement over the year, amazing!!

there's no doubt..next goal will be cat1 very soon.🙂

edit;i bow my head for you(in chinese styles as my salute and respect)

gong xi,..gong xi,..gong xi!!!

Here's the Garmin link:

Laps:

1: 28:58 (174 HRavg)
2: 29:19 (176)
3: 29:24 (176)

I hit the lap button late on each pass, so 1 was shorter and 3 was longer by about 10 seconds each. Total time 1:27:42 and HRavg of 175. Max 191.

And here's an awesome picture of my HR for the race. Talk about raising my HR instantly. That's pretty funny stuff:
