Conditions?

Are you sure that's a rogue trail? You get there close to the burms, go down a steepish trail, pass over one of two skinnies and then travel along the river all the way to the golf course (by the snack shack). There were a few bridges on the trail. Before last winter this trail was excellent, one of the best in the park. Last winter washed out a bunch of the good bridges. I went down there a couple of weeks ago and went all the way until the 'swamp' (the swamp used to be completely dry and didn't dry out all summer). Actually, we rode / walked through the 'swamp' and then the trail dried out nicely.

With all the nice trail work and bridges down there I don't think that could have been a rogue trail. And if it was, we, the biking community, should look at it again and see if we can do something with it because it is awesome down by the river.
Yes. The Coke trail is a rogue trail

Yup thats the one. It's called the Coke Trail. Believe it or not, it's an illegal trail. Despite the man-made features. It's built on a flood plane. Since last year, the river has flooded quite a bit. When that happens, it gets pretty shitty, staying that way for a while. The only times I have ever enjoyed that trail are in sub freezing temps.

Tiger Woods started as a rogue trail and the park naturalist (at the time) had us adopt the trail about 5 years ago IIRC. I think the Coke trail might have started life as a fisherman's trail and folks built some bridges and what not. Sadly, the Coke trail got trashed during the storms from last winter and it has not yet recovered.....but the trail does not exist.....kapeesh?

Eric and Bill....no matter what, your map rules and don't let anyone tell you different.🙂

+1 on THE map. Great job and effort. Pat and I used it to figure out Ben's beat my time loop since we don't have GPS. Turn by turn accurate . If it can be updated with some of the re-routes that would be AWESOME!

It was quick sand yesterday 😉

I am sure someone will venture out because Allaire drains so well 🙄. If someone does go and can report back, that would be great. I would assume that after the nasty storm we had yesterday, we will have a bunch of downed limbs and trees. 🙁

I am going to be there today around 415ish and report back Frank... I will move what I can... We had a gust that knocked over two of our rocking chairs on our front porch into our front yard... I wouldn't doubt it if there is something there

WHOA, holy mackeral. Haven't had time to check back in to all these responses.

I'm an IT guy. I call everything that's "unofficial" a "hak"

Didn't mean to offend anyone. I surely appreciate all the work volunteers and forum members do and hope to contribute if I can get away from the family one day to go to one of the cleanup meets.

Been there twice and I can't find Tiger Woods, there's quite a few intersections with no markings. I get a little messed up by the power lines also when trying to stay on Orange. I always end up riding on the sandy edge of the powerlines to get back to the trail, not sure what the proper way is....

I'm planning on going this Sunday at 7AM with a friend if anyone wants to join us and perhaps show us Tiger Woods, that would be great and I'll never call it a hak map again LOL.

 We'll let you live !! :hysterica

Sorry, I would love to give a tour but I"ll probably be sleeping off some alcohol on Sunday mornin'. 😉

I have two kids and one is an infant, if I don't sneak out before my wife wakes up, I'm pretty much not allowed out.

Frank, I believe they call that a "self inflicted wound"

Allaire Conditions

The trails are just about perfect right now. Firm and mostly clear of leaves on all but the most hidden trails. Go ride!
