Once again the gist of the article is that the road is poorly designed for the amount of bike traffic that is present on the weekends. The one quote you mentioned is only three sentences in the entire article. The rest of the article is discussing the need for proper bike lanes and at least suitable shoulders. Installation of bike lanes and in some places a shoulder would alleviate most of the problem. This seems to be in progress based on the article.
 
I always thought they hated me cause I was Sexier. You mean the beeps was to get off the road not "wiggle wiggle wiggle." This is going to change everything!

I keep my ass as close to the shoulder as possible when I'm road riding. That's the unspoken rule of the road. If you can't keep your bike on that line (except to get around potholes and dead squirrels of course) then go find a rail trail to ride and get the $%&# off the street. 😀

Hey, for me, half the time I'm on here, whom I comment to is just an avatar. Sometimes I know the person,many times not. I was just informed that I do indeed know you. I'd laugh my ass off if i saw this guy riding while i was in my f150. I'd run his ass over literally and just keep going laughing all the way home. Dipshit........You know he's definitely no mtbr......

So what's your issue today? This is the second time you've mentioned killing someone. That's really totally unnecessary.

I know the past 2 weeks have been tough on a lot of people. But really, let's take a step back and think about stuff before we post.

It's not even winter yet.
