6 Mile Run Conditions

Did an early morning ride this morning. I headed out of the Canal lot about 6am and hit the Red, White and Blue. Saw two other guys, both on the Blue Trail as I was heading back to my car. Conditions were excellent, the trail was nice and tacky. Even looked like a little frost on the long wooden boardwalk on the Blue Trail. The new bridge on the white trail is really nice, super smooth transition on and off. I noticed a similar bridge on the Red Trail, is that one new also?

The red trail bridge/re-route went in Oct 2012. that is a fun one!

Thank you Mr. X for the engineering and truss work.

His work makes installation a breeze, increases safety, and looks damn impressive.

Wow that is a serious bridge.

The shoes have been reunited with their owner! Good to meet you Josh... looking forward to seeing you on the trail one day!

Conditions today were absolutely perfect. I don't think it gets any better.

However, this was my first time riding here in at least a year. I found it incredibly difficult to see all the new bridges, re-routes ad trail work with all the tears of joy welling up in my eyes.

Seriously, I don't know if I could show enough appreciation to the trail crew. Hands down the most fun XC trail system in Jersey. Bloody brilliant.

Proof that their are still great people out there, could not have been any nicer, see you on the trail

I think it's worth taking a look, it can't be that bad.

I rode the Canal yesterday and figured I would take a look to see what it was like.

I rode from the canal lot to that big downed tree-over on Blue...there were two tiny puddles. I didn't go further than that, I wanted to work on clearing that tree-over. It was surprisingly mud free.

I'm thinking it should be OK for an after work ride.

I WAS going to head over around now actually but now work has forced me to go to dinner with some clients instead. grrrr. Conditions should be great tonight. It didnt rain hard and it was bone dry before the rain anyway.
