OFFICIAL Spring Allergies Thread

ive been pretty good so far, i think these warmer temps are really going to ratchet up the pollen so itll be a good test for me. this morning i had a couple sniffles and sneezes, but thats normal until dat Z kicks in

OK oddly enough I went back to the sourlands where my severe allergies started on saturday and now my nose seems significantly better. Hair of the dog??

i was knocked on my ass once this week, otherwise things have been manageable. even watered da bushes and washed le cars this evening, no issues. @UtahJoe is apparently dying, anyone else?

I'm about 50% on energy level, though I don't take meds, never did for allergies
It will pass over in about 2/3 week, I'll go play golf like @fidodie instead

Never really payed much attention before because I cant ever remember it effecting me this much....Maybe it does and I ignore it....But now that it hit me as im trying to train, holy hell. Man, I cant remember feeling this shitty

same here - started when i was 45ish. Never affected me at all, and always wondered what the big deal was.
then boom. found that the generic allergy stuff is very effective. claritin or zyrtec. know right away when i wake up....

now that i think about it, may have coincided with the kid's ability to move on his own.....coincidence?

It takes about 5 years for your body to react to allergens. If you moved or the environment changes such as an increase in oak trees, you may not have an allergic effect till several years later. Climate variabilities and I think the Kremlin also have something to do with new allergies as well.

Something destroyed me last saturday but has slowly improved this week. About 90% better right now. Need a good rain to wash all this pollen away

I don't seem to be really affected by pollen. But.. After riding CR on Tuesday, I had a very sore throat for a day. Is this why? No sneezing, no runny nose, no water eyes doe.

I felt the same sore throat after a ride. Dwight is Right. My concoction of flonase and zyzal keeps my allergies at bay. The only thing I have to watch us rubbing my eyes at the wrong time. Am eyeful of pollen hurts whether you're allergic or not.
Luckily I keep eye drops handy at all times and this stuff is the best:

Utah told me today that he has the windows of his house full-out wide open.

Bad Utah.

I mean if this shit bugs you even a little bit, you should be doing stuff like:

1. Run the fan of the central air 24/7
2. Change the air filters of the AC
3. Get an air purifier in your bedroom
4. Do not wear the same clothes 2 days in a row
5. If you were outside, shower before bed

These are pretty simple, and can make your life quite a bit better. Otherwise you're rolling around on a bed that is loaded up with pollen.

When kids have eye drops in their pocket, I assume they have weed, too.
