NYC PABT Commuters

Cruising down avenue's within cars drafting weaving in and out can be somewhat exhilarating. Sometimes I feel safer behind a car at the same speed as traffic than worrying about some truck moving into a bike lane and crushing me forever. At least I get to get crushed at my own terms!

Keep your eyes peeled-
they have been ticketing cyclists for not using the bike lane in my hood here (1st ave around 23rd).

Yah I've seen those posts come up on social networking. Best to use streets w/o bike lanes 😉

Wait... If there's a bike lane and you don't use it they can ticket you? Can they then please ticket the pedestrians with earphones or the street vendor carts that are IN the bike lanes? Or the garbage trucks. Or the livery drivers. etc etc.

Short answer, yes, but the law is vague. I'm sure you can fight it and win, but who has time for that ish. Just run away, they will never catch u.

Well...take that block north of the PABT on 8th off the list. There were signs on it today indicating that they're going to cut the bikes off the fence.
