has Nassau been reopened? I miss the trail conditions widget...

Still closed. Pretty sure there's been snow cover since it was closed. So it's gonna need to melt, dry, then be determined to be ok to ride. It'll probably be a while still

BTW - If you replaced chain and cassette and still had chain-suck, you may need to replace the chain-ring - especially if it was happening only in the small ring. Often times a new chain may "stick" to a worn out ring.

He did the right thing and bought a new bike. 🙂

Yeah Jimmy V is doing that for me. Not planning to ride it much anymore, though.

So, with a decent sinus cold this weekend I decided it was prudent to skip HoH. Sort of bummed that I've now missed 3 good training opportunities, but whatever. Yesterday, I did get in decent endurance miles on the MTB, though, and it seems 95% dialed in aside, maybe, from a few micro-adjustments. All seems well on the new rig. So far, the weather Saturday seems favorable. I need to figure out some sort of endurance pacing strategy this week, since I have no F'in idea what I'm in for. Looking forward to getting on with it.

Like everyone else, I’ve been disappointed in the weather. I was super disappointed not to be able to ride the Medford H2H, so I just packed in the training rides. Rode the Hunterdon Velo ride instead and the legs were pretty tired, so maybe I wouldn’t have done so hot anyway, but I’d have gotten some experience. Been working hard since, but indoors on the trainer mostly. I rode Round Valley - sort of - from the Cushetunk end, but somehow got lost, dropped down to the power lines and rode home. Remembered why I’ve only ridden there nice before and vowed never again. That place sucks, sorry. Seems more like trials riding to me. Mildly considering the Hop Brook race on 4/7, but I’d need to change a docs appointment and I want to scout Ringwood, since I’ve never been there before. We’ll see. That Medford race, though, seems like a missed opportunity to transition into MTB so to speak.

i'll give you the proper RV tour. The tough part is climbing, not the tech. If you ended up on the ridge from the saddle, that was a big problem - it actually rides well in the other direction.

how were the trees in cush? are they cleared?
