OOS MOGA

Wasn’t my size. Got the frame at a crazy price and built it up. @Paul H and @soundz test rode it. Thought it was a really nice long travel Hardtail. I would probably get another. Nice frame at a great value.
I think it was a L correct?
It was a beautiful bike and loved that blue paint. But I felt cramped and felt more like a M. Not sure what the current geo is.
I believe Bob mounted 3.25 tires on it. There was some self steer on asphalt but on dirt, it tracked perfectly.

Such a great ride ... until I pushed that last pit ... I’ll hit that area again but skip that death trap
There is that one mind fuck of a roller... where you don't see the drop and I automatically grab a fist full of brakes. I attempted that one 3 or 4 times but I still couldn't go thru it.

My thoughts exactly but the only thing about super boost.... at least right now is only on the rear.

I wouldn't put money on that... at least not any time soon. They have to make the recoup the money they already spent on boost RD. Maybe they already did... IDK... I doubt the big boys will jump until they are financially satisfied.

Wasn't that the SRAM vs Shimano thing? As after Shimano launched 11spd, SRAM jumped to 12spd.
I thought there were talks of Shimano coming out with 13spd? then they only went 12spd on the XTR with a new hub.
I think spacing would be a bigger deal even though they'll probably just make adaptors. I just could see the big companies going their own route to squash the little guys. But wtf do I know. Ha.

No amount of adaptors will help you fit some big into a smaller space.
I think the hub guys are on board with 157 so I think the support is there.

Probably. It would be extra funny to see someone like trek go for a different spec and have it fail and have to switch over to 157 the following year. I just like to watch the world burn, don't mind me.

What's the point of "super boost"? Boost gives flexibility between 29 and 27.5+. I'm going the opposite direction - I want a dedicated fs 29er - some of the options aren't even boost.
The point is that it opens the way for 29+ and 27.5++...did I hear 30.5 ? Sold! For the next 3.5 years that is! Looking forward to 32# !

I thought it was Trek who started the boost craze? Maybe not start... but I am pretty sure they moved the trend in that direction.... or I could be totally wrong
Or... it could very well be that super boost is just a thing that goes away without much attention. IDK but I hope a new standard would come out in the next week or so to drop the prices of boost forks. Looking to order one for my RDO in the next month or so. 🙂

Yes I believe it was a large.

Isnt your rdo supposed to be your light XC speedster? Shouldnt you be running 2.25 or something light like that? Doesn't that negate the need for boost? I guess options are good. Just a Noob trying to learn.

Which gets more attention? DH or XC?
I would think DH but since XC is in the Olympics... I want to guess XC and I doubt those XC weight weenies will allow for a heavier wheel.

Somewhere, somebody just witnessed his dream to complete that elusive vintage build being literally smashed! I don’t like destroying things just because you have big press to compensate for your small... who am I kidding, I love seeing stuff getting smashed! As long as it’s not my stuff!

RDO can handle up to 2.4 and I have 2.35 tires for it.
Niner intended it to be light weight XC bike but that doesn't mean that's what I am doing with it 🙂

See, that is the part where you forget the introduction of titanium hubs and spokes as well as rim molded in galandriel knitted fabric and bonded in fairy dust infused resin.

I plan on pre ordering later this week. The whys

Hard Tail
140mm Travel
fits 27.5x4
super boost so it should be future proof till I finish building it!
sliding drop outs to pretend I'm going SS
Super boost is not future proof, you're kidding yourself if that's the only interest in RSD
RSD bikes have a good rep, seriously looked at a Mayor a few years back
@mattybfat is the local expert on this brand
Hey Matty, any comments on the new RSDs? Max is looking at the V3 Sargent
