Jeez. That looks like a sketchy setup. Driving at highway speed will put a bunch of stress on that rack. I've had a tandem and the Thule roof rack is certainly the way to go. I never rode it with my spouse either. Just kids and clients.

I'll be there with numerous people. Warmup before 6pm. One lap tour starts at 6pm or thereabouts. Then a couple 15-20 minutes races. Some people go out for a third but the number dwindle as people suffer.

These can be a royal pain in the ass. The shifter has to be in the highest gear position in order for the cable head to be exposed. Most often, the shop keep just finger Fs the shift levers. Shifting up and down until it finally shifts back to the end position so that the cable head is visible...
