I mean Sram. I know it's hard to believe but Easton made a specific free-hub for Shimano that does not work with Sram. I think it has something to do with the height of the spines.
I did order the free-hub that works with sram and it's included in the deal. It's a 2 minute job to change...
New as in never mounted, still in plastic, etc...
These came with a shimano hub but I also have the sram hub (new) and will include it. Comes with original box and manual.

Ya. My guess is they do that on purpose so you have to buy a $60 pod when things get dirty and just need some TLC. I got mine to work but it would be nice to expose everything for a good cleaning / lube...
My right side shifter (M770) was acting up so I removed all the screws and cracked it open. I was not able to completely open the shifter with the large silver lever attached but I could still spray some WD40 in there to clean and lube things up. It's now working like a champ again.

DT Swiss 240s oversize hubs are good at this. 20mm, 15mm, 9mm, QR all by changing the end caps (about $35 for a set of caps). I9s and chris king hubs come to mind also. But I'll let someone else chime in on the particulars.
