I can lend you cogs & spacers (A singlespeed kit basically) you can toss on a regular wheel to only have one gear in the back. If you put that wheel on a bike that allows the rear wheel to get tensioned, you should be good to go.
Someone should be buying my cheap brand new Stan's singlespeed wheelset in the classifieds!

Do like Doug did a few years back and ride your road bike up with your MTB and camping gear in a trailer. I have a trailer you can borrow.

Not very fast if it rains every single day. I'm sure there will be a couple bogs, but the route avoids some of the real problem areas. We'll see race day.

If this was the MASS series, a race would never happen at Stewart
I hit the course up this weekend...Wasnt bad at all...Like this...this was bad...This one (2010) I had to have @gtluke drive me home bc I had so much mud in my eyes that my vision was blurry...not joking.
My thoughts on the course....Buchanan hill was unridable by me, Brett B, Cima or bill dove...I dont see that changing much from now til the race. But its like a minute or so of jogging. The mud climb in the field from last year was really firm and I rode right up it no problem. Major Mike was its typical spring time mess, no surprise there. Other than that...new road climb ouch, bunch of fun trail...then 3 sisters...ouch...then powerline and escarpment back to the 46 ford climb from the backside..major ouch....I cant make this with 2:1, so ill be jogging it. Then like a mile or so on the road up around orlando to pine root, muskrat, bear...then Oscars pallet trail and road to the finish line with a slight uphill pitch.
I stopped by dark horse to pick up my number....George and Rave have some killer trophies and prizes for this year and the food sounds ridiculously awesome.....bring your appetite.
