2024 Fun Monday

Didn't you all say that PJ pretty much sucks live at this point? Seriously this is why I have not bothered to look into it. Plus I'm old.

Anyway, I think we are in. For the CR ride, not PJ, where PJ = Pearl Jam as well as Port Jervis.

I saw them both nights in MSG last week and will also be there tomorrow. Only reason I didn't go last night is I paid a shit ton of money for one of the MSG nights. And yes they suck live!

Philly >> MSG for PJ. The set list last night in Philly was much better than either MSG show and they played with the house lights up for like 30 minutes. I'll be in Floor Section 4 tomorrow.

I'm not gonna argue that today, though I might have in the early 2000s. I've been lucky enough to go to every MSG show and I agree the setlists have been somewhat mediocre in their last few visits up until this year. I think night one was a super solid set list and no complaints* on night 2. And yeah, last night was definitely better!

Only local shows I have missed since I started seeing them in 1996 were last night and 2 of the 4 spectrum closers. Yes I regret skipping all of them! Enjoy the floor, I've been stuck side stage in the 200s for this run.

*Ok one complaint, they played Glorified G instead of Red Mosquito due to Howie's request. Hoping to hear some Avocado tomorrow.

Last night was good, but aside from Of the Girl, In My Tree, Alone, and Rats there was not a lot of stand-out for me. With the OTG opener I thought it was going to be off the wall so I might have set my expectations too high right away. I still had a blast, and the energy was great! Wish I could have seen the crowd on Saturday.

Mostly agree. Saturday was the best for me. But the Philly energy is pretty great.
