I am sorry I didn't get to join in the fun. Out at Santa Cruz for a dealer thing.

I can bring my big saw and cut up anything that is left when I get back.

That's amazing work, thank you! Does anyone know if the trail's in good conditions for a ride later today?

Trails were mostly dry, with some mud and puddles here and there. I got caught in the downpour and took Middlebush to Jacques back.

I have a small group of friends set to do a ride at Six Mile tomorrow. Wondering if I should cancel. Got a lot of rain this week. Thoughts?

Rode yesterday from Jacques. Theres a pretty nasty mud pit right around the beginning of the trail, which looks like a buncha morans rode right through, but it dried out nice after through the white and down to S.Middlebush.
Didn't cross over to 27 side so I can't speak to that.

A little damp, but hard. couple wet spots on the switchbacks but overall rideable.
hopefully @fidodie reports back positive info!

More than you care to know - i'd rate it somewhere between 2 and 3, but given the porto-john was just cleaned, i gotta say 3.

------

Parked at canal, did blue->concrete bridge->white-> ->canal

blue field is good, entry to woods is soft - couple of "log unders" that need to be cleared in the woods just after entering, and a bit farther down the trail.

the tires left small knob marks, but didn't displace or pull up any dirt, for the most part

the washout is really bad - this is where it was ridden while muddy, and water came and washed the dirt away.
there is alot of it.

some mud along the field edge where the tubes are. and the small bridge just before coming up to that field
seems to have moved a bit - and the root make it a bit more challenging.

the bridge near blackwells mills road is about 100yards down stream in the middle of the field (i think @rick81721 took a pic awhile back) - there is a board and a few rocks about 20' downstream to walk across. The platform at the top of that hill is damaged at one end.

the field before the boardwalk - trail is a 10" deep culvert. i rode on the grass. Nice reroute after crossing the water at the end of the boardwalk - after climbing the hill, there is now a "higher line" - :like:

all good from there to the approach to the metal bridge - a little soft, but not horrible.

the climb to the red intersection is a mess - let's call it a challenge.

cedars are good.

the area on the pond side of the concrete bridge is a mush pit. cross bridge, go down to the water, climb up right side.
do not go straight, the mud is 8" deep. I have some ideas to remediate the area.

Turned around here.

white was good - all the way to the bridal path - i think there was one spot where i actually slid sideways - it was a north facing hillside. There is a mudpit, about 40' long on the bridal path - it can somewhat be avoided on the left and right. i'm not
too worried about it, as that will get flattened out by itself. the run down to the closed trail has some bad washout, but it
is firm.

The bike picked up very minimal mud on the downtube, and didn't cake on the chainstays, so
with the wind and the sun today, i think the weekend will work.

should also note that the hunters with their hounds are out between white and the water.
be respectful, they are not there long, and we don't want to clip one of their pups.
