6 Mile Run Conditions

conditions were frozen until 11:00/11:30am yesterday when i finished, then i am sure it turned into a disaster.

edit, actually, the red trail which bypasses orange was a disaster even earlier.
 
Kind of a tough go today on my fat bike. The trails should be good after a few people ride them. Very powdery snow which makes for a slippery ride.
 
Ya, This place will be closed for a while. I riding blue on my regular mountain bike was dumb, Red was doable but still very slow going.

Maybe enough rain will fall that it will wash away enough of the snow to make it rideable for all bikes 😛
 
Yep, I could see partially covered over tracks in the fields on my way out. I didn't finish up til about 5 or so.......

I was in there this morning and it was turning for the worse every mile. There was only a shallow layer of harder snow on top of soft mud. My bike never hit dirt but by now the snow has to be gone.

Soup, mud, and ice. I thought it was cold enough to ride but I didn't get very far at all from the 27 lot before I had to turn around.
 
Just be careful. There is a lot of solid ice on much of the trails. It might take a while for that to melt. Its no fun riding on that. So even if it does freeze, the mud is only half the problem.
