I'd like to plan a chainsaw party from the tranquility lot....Orange is a mess

I’m up for that. Pick a day and time. We’ll also need some others to help clear as we cut.

I can send an email to everyone JORBA has trained if we think it’s that big of a project. I’m not local so we’ll need some recon.

In my opinion the whole park needs a sweep. It'd be a divide and conquer type event with multiple two person teams hitting different loops/sections? Can we wait until it gets a little warmer? I've been doing TM in the snow the last month or so, but all the extra cold gear and bulk makes the mission harder and longer. Hoping @chainsawer is back in the game early Feb.

Willing to throw down some sweat equity as a swamper. My work schedule involves a lot of weekends but the updside is I can do some week days.

A swamper is a versatile slang term for a general assistant or handyman, historically a worker clearing brush in swamps for loggers,

Happy New Year everyone!! I guess I should chime in with health update. Arthroscopic knee surgery happened on Nov 13 and went smoothly. I'm now 2 months post-op and things are coming back together, albeit slowly. (Healing takes so much longer at this age, unfortunately). My knee still gets painful and swollen after I challenge it. But I'm frequently doing 4mi walks, the elliptical/bike machines at the gym, and I'm on my feet often. I'll probably reintroduce Mt. biking slowly at the 3 month mark, with chainsawing following shortly thereafter, roughly end of Feb/ Early March timeframe. I really can't wait to get back at it.

Happy to see everyone stepping up in my absence.

Honestly, I prefer cold for chainsawing. 90°F saps the strength out of me. 30°F would be fine🤣
