Allamuchy North Conditions

After

Throwing an edit here since the page flipped to a new one. See @mattybfat 's post before. Intel is welcomed and needed. It seemed like there are pockets of damage but not everywhere. Some trails were completely clean...some had stuff to clear....there were a number of simple get off the bike and pull it out of thew way items. Please do that if you can and let us know what you cant. Thanks!

Tranquility side wasn't bad.
@Fat Trout and I hit about 12-18 targets today with one time consumer. Gonna sit back and wait for more Intel before going at it again so we aren't chasing our tails. Orange cardiac and bypass ditch freaking middle bitch slap route 80 flow old OG were covered.

This was a monster on cardiac

You guys rock!! Thanks for your efforts! 12-18 targets is a lot of work!!

I'm hearing from @chainsawer that he was advised of a tree down in a dangerous spot part way down Rollie Pollie. @mattybfat and I went through bypass and over top of cardiac but didn't hit that. It might be a few days before anyone can get to that so be careful.
This is clear now. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought for location as it was at the bottom after the final 90 degree left turn and up an incline on that run out to cardiac bypass but it was a bit of a low bridge. So I guess if were shooting for a KOM and hand your head down you'd have had a problem. I walked up through all the way to the bottom of the first big roll and cleared small face slappers and encroaching saplings and stuff. Good all the way through now.

I got 2 others on white and 1 on waving willie I was told about and found one new one on waving willy. Traveled around (but not up) lumpy bumpy.

post up what you see.

You are *The Man!* Thanks for getting after it.

This am the Waterloo rd lot was coned off with police activity. I passed by and decided to go to Stephens. There were two officers with bloodhounds crossing the road I assume trying to find someone. I’m guessing it’s opened by now…

That had it coned off when I went by around 11AM.

I cleared 3 trees off of cardiac (purple) today from the 517 trail head up to the top. I also took a trip down candy ass. there were 2 sets of trees right before the exit, otherwise clear on trees. Other than that I know of:
1 on the upper leg of the orange loop
1 as pictured above heading toward dan's trail.

Post anything else you see and if possible provide a location on a trailforks or similar image. It helps a lot.

Perfect conditions other than a few trees down. Not sure why Trailforks always shows trails as closed?
Yeah I'm not sure why trailforks gets bulk updates after rain events etc. To be honest it hurts my efforts to chase trees. In the past i could pick up on things not otherwise reported elsewhere by quick scanning the list of trailforks status for user input on specific and often nitch trail issue locations. Since the bulk updates have started that has gone away and (possibly) it seems like folks aren't posting those up anymore ....or at least they aren't visible once things flip (in bulk) from red to green.

The TF admin/park rep has the ability to do bulk updates.

i think the problem being referenced here is that anytime any weather happens the entire park goes red (closed?) even tho there is no official closure or any obvious reason for it. Mooch parks (as i think you know) handle water pretty well and dry out quickly. This leads people to ignore the red marks on TF since it is done seemingly arbitrarily

Yes I realize what is being said. I’m just saying that some people have the ability to change the status easily. It’s been a discussion before and also a frustration amongst some.

Back to the topic of conditions…
