Hey everyone. I'm glad I took the chance and met some of you at Allaire last night, for the Tuesday beginner ride. It was nice riding with everyone 🙂
My name is Stan but I'm not, Stan in the Van. I'm 42, work for the NJDOT. I'm happy married, have a 8 yr old that is AD/HD. I grew up tearing up the trails in Allaire with my friend Jim before MTBing was considered cool. I picked up smoking because the navy dentist said my chew was eating was gums. 20 years later, I'm smoke free 3 months and looking to regain the fun times I enjoyed on a bike.
If you see an vintage purple Gaint rigid, that would be me. I'm to poor to buy what I want, so I'm just going to enjoy the technology I enjoyed so much, years ago, while I work on a newer bike and endurance - lol.

welcome ! Best of luck on your trail back....

let's organize a vintage mt bike ride!! luvinit

I don't think I met you last night "Stan without the Van" but I am glad you had fun. Hopefully I will meet you next week.

Congrats on kicking the smoking habit too!

I know Paul @ beacon tried to organize a vintage ride (no disc brakes) at allaire before. I am all for it now that I have a bike to bring.

Hopefully I make it to the next Tuesday night ride, I rode allaire yesterday afternoon, always a fun time

I have to admit that Brick is a cool name for a town. I'm sure the word brick meant brick when they named it. But they said F it and named it Brick anyway.

Conversely, you could live in one of these:

This is one cool town name:

I'm from Bernardsville. It's a boring name, but it used to be called Vealtown. I think I may start saying I'm from Vealtown:

Oh, welcome!

Is this Stan McDowel whom I used to kayak with? It's gotta be.how the hell are ya, buddy?

Stan is one of the most fun people to go camping with.

The next town over is called Wall

I would love to say I live between brick and wall 😀 welcome my friend!

Welcome aboard Stan_2 glad you enjoyed the ride last night good to meet you.

Thanks everyone. It would be cool seeing a group of oldies rolling through Allaire again. The sound of sand and rubber-pads grinding on aluminum rims would sure to be heard miles away. I hope to see everyone next Tuesday.

Capes what's hanging? For those of you who not camped with The Doc! Lock your tent at night, he's a wild one- rofl. I was nice seeing Andrew another JSSKA member.
