Aren’t those for ebikes?

They make a trail and gravity casing. These are amazing but you aren’t gonna love the weight. I have the trail on my switchblade and the grip is staggering.

I like the Ground Control as a Rekon alternative. I’ve consistently ridden both and feel the GC has a little more confidence in the corners. For trail the Purgatory/GC combo is great but for Chimney Rock I run a GC up front and a Fast Trak with a liner in the rear and that sort of falls in the “downcountry” zone.

Currently have forekaster 2.4 front and rear on my 140 29er , duel compound rear with 3c front . Roll ok and grip surprisingly good but when they loose grip it's kinda scary . My favorite trail setup is aggressor and high roller 2 both 2.3 , not the lightest but just good predictable grip

For me, no issues with dual compound regular EXO for the rear. Not running inserts.

I'll throw in Bonty XR4 front and XR3 rear. I'm on 5/4 on a trail bike but if I wanted less drag 4/3 combo would be considered

They've been replaced with tires with names I can't remember (XR1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 was so easy). I picked up some left-over XR4 & 5 recently.

On this topic, how is the “performance” line of tires from schwable? Similar to the standard maxxis tires?

The Magic Mary Super ground in the soft compound had been excellent so far. Fast and light (1040 grams) for the size of its lugs.

The new Specialized Purgatory T9 is very fast but the traction seemed to dissipate a little the longer I rode it…in the short time I had it on.

I've got a set of Specialized Butcher/Eliminator to try next due to really good deal, but I've been very happy running Vittoria Mazzas (2.4" Trail) both front and rear on both my trail bikes for years.

yes, discontinued. They are increasingly harder to find. I'll be lost when my bonty stash runs out.
