Beginner paced rides: anyone interested?

Where is this new lot? what I miss?
They've been talking about a lot at the top of the Pipeline for like a year or more now. An old abandoned house up there needs to get demolished, then they will build a new parking lot and trail to it that connects to Montezuma. House demo has not been scheduled and no idea when it will be. Trail has been roughly mapped out by Rangers without consulting me/JORBA so dunno if it'll be any good. I will do my best to influence trail design when they're ready to actually start.

on the new property to the south of the pipeline?
Would be nice to get a trail in p there which connects down to dutchtown-zion - I think it is that large now -
just behind houses and has the quarry property to deal with.

There is that 3 car lot on the north side, near the pond.
There are trails back there that connect to the back of the cell tower, and behind the homes along Zion.
mostly moto for the locals.

yes, but the plan is to make a bigger/more official one

Unless they are expecting to make more trails, that doesn't make sense. There is a lake blocking the pipeline. Itt can be remediated. Is there a plan for the acquired land?

New trail planned north side of pipeline that supposedly avoids the lake and connects to Montezuma. No idea about plans other than that.

in 2020 I did some exploring - the left side is longhill road, the little loop around the pond is the current parking area.
Pipeline runs down the middle - the box left center are current trails up top. where it touches Zion is the cell tower (or fire tower?)
There is actually a gate there that says SCPS (Somerset county park service)

I've also ridden in from Amwell road - they tore down the houses back there (it is a driveway near Zion)
and there is also a path off Starview (again off Amwell) - more paths, and might be an old home up there.

would be interesting to see some plans.

Okay, a few weekends off and summer heat in officially here, I'm only free on Sunday this weekend and it looks like a deluge on Friday which leaves some parks out. Suggestions on where to ride?

Last night's rain shouldn't put a damper on this week's rides. Staying local on Sunday so putting out a ride at Chimney Rock with lots of Cromwell. 9am start at the ball field gravel lot (Sunday, 7/21). As always beginnerish friendly no drop pace. Post up if interested
