It’s a humble start but a hugely welcome change from 50 days on the trainer.
Wifey is not happy about this so I’m gonna take tiny steps and ease into it.
🙂
Check the booboos threadWhat happened?
In my experience we can get thru this things with some degree of sanity/serenity if we remain very flexible with how things play out. Easier for me to adjust to life’s constraints than to bend it to my will. ( eg: no 2024 backpacking ) Will start on the gravel and see where it goes. 😃 Thanks allJust found this thread this early morning.

Get well
I’m a survivor of CABG x 3. (2021)
I feel your terror in reading your journey.
Sorry to hear about the accident.
Road riding for me has been over since 2004. Don’t miss it. Staying on the trails has been my cardiac rehab and meditation.
Best of luck brother.

First road ride today and first ride on my new Roubaix.
First hour is trying to keep a lid on cardio badness ( afib? ) and the next two hours were a reminder that the legs have been only doing 1:15 duration rides on the trainer.
Was very happy to see towards the end of the ride max HR of 167 and pretty comfortable riding with HR 150+. Power still sucks but….
Very grateful to be outside on a bike. 🙏
