Biggest loser

I eat I disturbing amount over 200 grams of protein 500 grams of carbs and limit fats to 50 to 70 grams a day.
Typical day would be breakfast 3 eggs plus 160 grams of egg whites 3 peices of whole wheat toast 1.5 servings of steel cut oats with berries and a half scoop of protein powder plus some fiber one cereal

Then lunch either 2 to 3 servings of brown rice or 500 plus grams of sweet potatoes plus 6 oz grilled chicken

Dinner venison, turkey or chicken, tons of vegetables whole wheat pasta , more brown rice. Sweet potatoes

Snacks 1 or 2 Bananas, 1 lb of baby carrots, rice cakes, 2 to 3 apples maybe a protein bar maybe some more fiber one cereal pre workout

Post workout 60 grams of rice Krispies with 1 cup almond milk and 1 scoop protein powder.
I still weight everything out and measure everything. I am between 3200 and 3400 pretty much every day. When I first started trying to gain weight I started at 3100 and couldn't gain anything after rather initial water weight gain from the massive increase in carbs
That’s insane. I don’t think I could physically eat all of that 🤮

Holy s&*t. How are you not gaining weight or keeping it on?

At my 1,500ish calorie daily intake, estimated: fat = 71g, carb = 118g and protein = 125. If I take away the fruit and approved maintenance carbs, I'd definitely see some quick weight loss. All protein servings are weighed and everything else is measured cup or generous estimates. Every meal always includes a specific amount of protein, vegetables and healthy fat. Daily exercise time is 1.5-2hrs. Cardio or circuits. Light weights
I exercise alot lol 6 days a week lifting heavy weights over 2 hour sessions and I walk over 10k steps every day sometimes over 15k. Plus the occasional rower or trainer. Their is also a higher thermic effect to break down protein and carbs which is most of my diet so it's as if the total calories are actually lower. I'm Carying more muscle now than I use to as well and muscle burns more calories while at rest. Idk like I said I'm trying to gain weight for the next few months then cut back some of the fat I put on and keep the new muscle mass.

Yeah I'm not going to lie it's alot to try and fit in the stomach. It's mostly because I'm trying to keep the fats so low that makes the volume of food so high. But I I want to maximize muscle protein synthesis and I want to have massive energy from the carbs as well as to fully restore my glycogen levels between lifting sessions.

Thanks Iman I should start charging and recoup some money back 😆
Just be careful if you start charging the wife and kids to attend they may sell your bikes. Lol.

But seriously at risk of being corny it’s great to see those two cute kids see the value of being healthy and active and they can follow along and enjoy it. Worth whatever money you invested 100x over.

Not corny at all its a huge part of me investing all the money into the gym and Turing it into a space for the whole family to enjoy. We did a complete lifestyle change this year from coming home exhausted from work and hanging out on the couch eating whatever we wanted to comming home eating a healthy dinner and going down to the basement as a family to workout. The kids ask all the time is it time go workout yet! I couldn't be happier with the changes we have made. I enjoy family time and if I didn't build the gym at home I wouldn't see them nearly as much or I just would never go to the gym. Plus I can't deal with the gym bros and all the personalities and waiting for equipment I want to go down blast my music put some motivational YouTube videos on the TV and have some fun.

Maybe it's just a weird week for the scale but every day I've gotten on it it went down this week I'm back to where I was 15 days ago. I'm adding muscle for sure im getting way stronger. Just one example in a matter of 2 weeks I went from being able to do 7 pull ups with 25 lbs on a belt to 10 with 25lbs. I can see the change in muscle as well. It's only been alittle over a month so it is still going to take some tweeking. And 3 maybe 4 more months of this

174.8 this morning. Under the 175 mark which is my oh shit limit. That's problably 2-4 lbs lost this week(since I was afraid of the scale early on). Hardest part of course is getting back in the routine of counting calories and making sure I get my workouts in. I had a close call yesterday during my ride. I went down a tiny hill and didn't see a rock under the leaves. I went OTB and landed with my forearm and knee on a rock. I heard a crack when my forearm hit but it must have been something else. Thought it might have been a trip to the hospital. Just some soreness and swelling this morning. I'm looking forward to another ride through the leaves after work.

I've been on an eating binge this whole week. Definitely mental/stress/holidays related. 🙁 The drinking has seen an uptick too. Every year this happens, and I end up getting sick with the flu or some other nasty bug. My 50th is also around the corner, which is really getting to me.
