Well, you guys would need to flatten the ruts those tires leave. As I said to Utah, the best mix would be 50:50. The skinny tires expose the softest areas and the fat tires flatten.

uh no. the skinnies were rutting it up. But not a problem since it was only 1.5 of them and there were 10 fat bikes covering it up.
It wasn't packing it down harder, it was actually digging it up.

course is tits though now, some single lines burned through, plenty of spots wide enough for passing often enough.

It'll be sunny tomorrow and freezing, should get slightly firmer for Sunday.

Course is super fun. I definitely noticed the lines getting cut in deeper as each lap went by. Should be fun trying to fix whatever the skinny tires do, every lap will be an adventure!!

Avoidance was unsuccessful. Jim is the Borg. I was assimilated. I hit a tree trying to keep up with him. disclaimer: I actually almost hit a tree. Any un-groomed snow out there acts like a natural foam pit and I came to a stop within three feet of going off trail. But the tree was right, like, there.
