Ocean grove British car show. Millions of MG's. Great show! I saw a cobra Shelby, there was a note that it wasn't a kit car. I guess it was the ones Shelby made later?

people love to do this with semantics....there were the original cobras built in the 60s..Serial numbers: CSX2xxx for a small block car or CSX3xxx for a big block car....Then many years later, Shelby wanted in on the kit car action and made the CSX4000 cars.....so yes, you could order a new shelby cobra..(and still can)...and they are excellent. However, they can be perfect cars, but there is one MAJOR difference...compared to an CSX2000 or CSX3000 car....they are worthless in terms of value....100-150k vs millions for an original. So when you see someone at a show saying ITS NOT A KIT CAR.....It usually just means they paid someone to put it together for them.

The one in that picture...The fuel cap is in the wrong spot and the roll bar is nothing like a typical cobra.

Yes, that's what I was thinking this car was. Probably the cx4000 cars.

Additionally, it was pretty quiet. There's a balance between breaking the neighbors windows when you start your car to quiet as a Honda. This one was closer to quiet as a Honda.
