Car-spotting thread

This belongs to a very good friend of mine in ATL. Ordered a 2022 and ended up getting a 2023 model for the same price. Took 7 months to get here.

Red is not my thing but he needed more room from his 2019 M4 to haul the kids around. He hates the new BMW design so much he bought this instead. And he kept the M4.

Terrible color, drool-worthy car.

I've been casually looking for a Macan. Like maybe in 2024.

2023 Macan base. 3900 miles. Ex service loaner but it's very clean. Just serviced. $71,900 MSRP with a bunch of options on it including adaptive air suspension and the premium plus package, 20 inch wheels, ventilated seats, adaptive cruise. Offered up at $59,900. CPO through January 2029. Balance of factory plus 2 years and unlimited mileage. The Porsche CPO warranty is ridiculously thorough.

Another dealer has the same exact build for $69,900.

They offered $20,500 for my GLI which nets me $21,850 with the sales tax savings. At $22,000 trade in I was signing the paperwork but they let me walk.
Carvana is at $19,800 on my GLI and I only paid $21,700 for it in March 2020.

What kind of asshole buys two Porsches in a summer?
also i was thinking on this is there going to be a nice SR4 for sale here soon with Ceramic coating?

I drove the older RS3 sedan, and it was pretty damn awesome. If the new one is as good as they say it is, I would get one while it still exists. Shit, get the RS6 (with the sport suspension, not the air) if you have the means, that thing looks like a beast. Saw one on the NYS Throughway all murdered out and it looked badass.
A handful of RS3 drivetrains have made it into Golf Sportwagens/Alltracks. It is a b*tch of a job though.

Salesdude was a very stand up guy. He held the Macan for 3 days without a deposit. In fact, two other parties came in to look at it and he told them it would not be available until August 1, if at all.

I went back on Saturday afternoon after a ride at Lake Nockamixon. They were pretty busy AND it was the last Saturday of the month with Monday being the last day of the month. I drove it again and I decided it was too nice and too deep a discount with too long a warranty to let go. If I wanted a Macan, this was the one.

A little back and forth and he took $1000 off the Macan. So $58,900 on a $71,900 Macan with 3900 miles on it and a 5.5 year warranty (January 2029). I still get the first year service for free as they paid to do the CPO process which includes the oil service. They stayed at $20,500 on the GLI and it was good enough.

So I am that asshole who buys two Porsches in one summer. @iman29, looks like the 4Runner survived the cut. This time!

haha well bought and a nice deal. i thought for sure someone here would start the bidding on the 4runner at 5 clams soon.

plus it has a trailer hitch for the bike rack

Same dealer as the Carrera T? Any loyalty discount?

No, the 911 was from Lehigh Valley Porsche in Allentown/Emmaus. Much smaller dealership with only a few loaner Macans that aren't as well-equipped or deeply discounted.

In fact, I was invited to Pocono Raceway for a little track demo thingy by Lehigh Valley Porsche. Turns out the guys from Warrington will also be there Thursday. It's like showing up to a party with your wife knowing your side piece will be there as well.
