You already have a Tesla and/or Range Rover for hauling the clubs to the golf course after a hard day of pocketing money out of everyone’s 401k and calling your secretary sugar tits. You need something that says “I’m a cool guy” just like the 10,000 other people in this town. C8 or 911?
Kicking tires the last few Saturdays to try and find what I like for my next vehicle and what fits in the budget without compromising HP and sportiness somehow.
My 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0T only has 105K miles and a ton of replacement warranty parts but it needs a few thousand bucks of work and wear and tear things i just don’t think it’s worth doing. Didn’t help when I hit a deer back in Oct and messed up the front bumper.
Drove a 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy 2.5T a few weeks ago just to drive one. It only had like 33k miles and they wanted 24K online. When I showed up to drive it the passenger side door had this huge dent in it. It’s the first one I drove so wanted to feel it out. Was impressed with the ride and has quite a bit more pep than my current one (265 vs 281hp). Just for the hell of it I let him run the numbers. He came back and with a straight face showed me a sheet with 6-7000 in fees and add ons plus taxes so OTD price 34,500. Oh and this did not include fixing the dent. I literally laughed at him and got up and walked out.
The good news at least is that model is in the running.
Everything about the car is blah. This car didn’t even have the powered liftgate. Again drove it just to try it. I was prepared to be unimpressed with the power but it was pretty quick considering. But also a bit too small inside for what I need.
Inside the dealership they seem to have an affinity for Hennessy models. This cobra replica was also pretty sweet.
