Car-spotting thread

Test vehicles are here. This one was trying out the Holland tunnel then apparently turned around to go back into Manhattan. I was sorted screwing with it by getting real close to it merging into the tunnel and it did dart up to get in front. But some of those turns were pretty late and aggressive.

Can the car spot pedestrians or people on bikes.

It should be fully autonomous. Though driving down Canal at 11pm is not typically NYC traffic. I wouldn't either start it's test rides in day time with the holiday tourists and general craziness. NYC is nothing like SanFran so this is the ultimate test for them.
Do they feel sadness and wishing a little they were dead?

Do they pull their bumper up enough to not allow in the car next to them? If they do, I'm sure they excel at the "do not make eye contact" part.

Otherwise they aren't taking over yet for sitting in that traffic at night waiting to get into that tunnel.

PDR is magic. Both dents 100% gone. A faint, slight line where the exterior shell is welded to the interior shell extends a few inches from the inch-long paint crack. Even that is far better than it was before he worked on it. It's like 99% except for the cracked paint. $250 cash. Maybe 2 hours total work.

Stopped by the PPF guy. He put a scrap piece on the paint crack. It helps. It's not perfect and you can see it if you know where to look, but it's pretty good.

Thursday moring he'll put an extended (wide) door edge guard strip (maybe an inch or 1.5 inch wide) that wraps around the door edge from window trim to rocker. He'll do both front doors because OCD. $50.

It looks better than expected. I'm satisfied. You'd never find the paint crack unless you knew where to look and got the right angle. If the truck was dirty you'd never find it. @UtahJoe I appreciate the support during this difficult time but rest assured I will survive this.

Reminds me of back in the day i was putting coilovers on my old WRX and was trying to get the lower strut pinch bolts to break loose. I was pushing on the bar rather than pulling (bit mistake) and when it popped loose, my hand went up and i knuckle punched the fender at the 12:00 position and put both a little knuckle sized dent and a hairline crack in the paint. Man, i was so pissed with myself at the time but unlike Carson, i ultimately opted for the do nothing approach. 😆 Was PDR an option back in 2002? i can't recall...

you know I love you and all, but you are a complete mental patient 🙂 I mean that in the nicest way possible.

is this the guy on 22 by the driving range?

No, he's a mobile guy. Dent Mechanix NJ. Doug Meyer is his name.

GardenSt8 PDR is Carlos by the driving range. He has good reviews but I've heard he's a little pricey. Don't know anyone who has used him in my circle.
So, what are the chances they could do anything with this? I was paid in full when I was hit, but always figured I'd just mentally add that amount when I sell it or trade it in. Obviously not looking for perfection. Been like this for over 2 years.
